Research in the Children’s Palliative Care sector

Together for Short Lives is committed to fostering a culture in which academic research flourishes in the children’ palliative care sector. We want to encourage innovation and best practice in the sector to increase the quality of patient care and experience.

We are proud to be working with the Martin House Research Centre as part of the ‘CoPPAR’ collaborative network for research across the sector, which aims to provide a single point of information for all paediatric palliative care research across the UK.

Ensuring that seriously ill children and young people and their families are able to take part in research and contribute their lived experience is hugely important. We are committed to helping researchers by sharing appropriate requests through our wide membership in the sector, and our own family community.
