Recruit research participants
Together for Short Lives is committed to fostering a culture in which academic research flourishes, we also want to play a leading role in ensuring that children and young people with life-shortening conditions and their families are able to take part in research and contribute their voices to increase the evidence base.
We are often approached by researchers and academics looking for children, young people, families and professionals to take part in research. As part of our commitment to fostering better research and data we are more than happy to share appropriate requests with our stakeholders, through both our wide membership in the sector, and our own family community.
If you wish to explore whether we can help you to recruit subjects for your research project please complete the form below with a brief outline of your project and your requirements, and we will be in touch to discuss further in due course.

Research Group
To further help foster academic research, Together for Short Lives and the APPM (Association of Paediatric Palliative Medicine) run a multi-disciplinary joint Research Group to help to develop a culture of research and build research capacity across the children’s palliative care sector. The group is a valuable resource for all those engaging in practice and research of children’s and young people’s palliative care. The group is chaired by Professor Myra Bluebond-Langner.
