Organise your own event
Organising your own event is not only fun but also incredibly rewarding. The funds you raise are vital to helping us ensure every one of the seriously ill children in the UK and their families receive the best possible care, so they can make the most out of their precious time together.
How you raise the money is totally up to you, so you can be as creative as you’d like, and organise any type of event – big or small! We are here to support you every step of the way to help you to maximise your fundraising efforts and ensure you have the most enjoyable time possible.
Get inspired
Whether it’s at work, at home or in your local community, the type of event you do is up to you! However, if you’re looking for some inspiration, here are some resources with some ideas to get you started:
Giving pages
Any sponsorship you raise via an online giving page comes directly to us, making it easy for you, your donors, and the charity. It’s a quick and convenient way for friends, family and colleagues to sponsor you, and provides you with a link to share far and wide on your social media.
Communicate
Once you’ve decided on your fundraising event, shout about it! The more people who know about your fundraising, the more you will raise.
- Email friends, family and colleagues
- Share what you’re doing on social media
- Advertise at work in newsletters or on noticeboards
If you’d like to organise your own event…
We would love to hear about your fundraising plans! Please register with us by emailing events@togetherforshortlives.org.uk and we will send you a fundraising pack and t-shirt.
Please take a look at our Safe and Legal guide to make sure you cover all your bases for a safe, fun event.
